Well, it seems like it took pretty much forever but at least it finally came to reality.
The marijuana laws finally changed in my state. It took seemingly forever for common sense to finally take a hold of those at the state legislature. But, they finally passed recreational marijuana. And I’m genuinely thankful for that. The law was passed last year but implementation is happening right at this moment. There are real, live cannabis dispensaries in our town. It’s tough to truly believe that it happened. It’s also sort of tough to actually believe that it took this long for it to happen. All it took was a couple of states making cannabis legal. Other states like mine, saw that there was a substantial tax revenue to be exploited. And the overwhelming wave of crime that those opposing legal weed just never materialized. To be perfectly honest, if there are going to be stores where people can legally buy mood altering substances like alcohol, there needs to be legal weed. It’s sincerely just common sense. Happily, the governing powers are recognizing that or it’s just a currency grab. Either way, I was able to head into a cannabis dispensary and pick up numerous cannabis products. This was an act that I wasn’t positive that I would ever live to see. What was especially surprising was the fact that the location was just so wonderful. I thought there might be a small selection of cannabis flower products to buy and maybe a pot brownie or gummies. That was not the case in the least. The variety of Sativa and Indica strains was a wonder to behold. And don’t even get me started on the tremendous variety of edibles.
