When the company found out that the refrigerator was 75°, they suggested that we get rid of the product in the refrigerator.
There are a couple products inside the marijuana dispensary that have to be refrigerated. All of the expensive live resin products need to be kept at a cool temperature. all of our cannabis infused beverages also need to be refrigerated. At any given time, there is about a thousand dollars worth of merchandise in the refrigerator. A couple of weeks ago, we had a severe thunderstorm. It rained and poured and we had several lightning strikes across town. The city north of us had three tornadoes. One tornado was almost a mile wide and it took out half of the high school. At one point during the middle of the night, the power went out. We have a backup generator, but it failed to come on. When I got to the marijuana dispensary in the morning, I realized that the refrigerator was off. It was warm inside of the appliance and I knew that was bad news. I looked at the thermometer on the left side of the refrigerator and the temperature was 75 degrees. I called the manufacturer that handles all of the products in our refrigerator. When the company found out that the refrigerator was 75°, they suggested that we get rid of the product in the refrigerator. We lost a lot of money when the generator failed. We had to sell all of the marijuana supplies at a discounted price. Thankfully, a lot of our customers didn’t mind the warm temperatures. They were happy to get live resin and marijuana drinks for 50% off the regular price.
