Last year at this time, I met with a doctor in the city so I could sign up for a medical marijuana card.
I went to a medical marijuana dispensary for the first time and I had access to marijuana flower, shatter, wax, rosin, and vape pen cartridges.
The prices seemed to be reasonable, especially since I only had a couple of places to shop. I tried to wait for sales days when I might be able to find something cheap, but they were very infrequent. Now it is a year later and I live in a completely different state where marijuana is legal for medical and recreational use. I no longer need a medical card to access marijuana products. In fact, there are several dispensaries in each city. The first time I moved to the state, I was totally surprised by the prices of cannabis. In this state where marijuana is 100% legal for recreational and medical use, the prices are about 60% less than I was paying last year at this time. The medical office that helped me sign up for a card last year, called to help me set up an appointment again this year. They were very surprised when I told them that I no longer needed a medical marijuana card, because I was living in a recreational state. A lot of things have changed over the past year and a half. My wife works online instead of in an office. I quit my job and we moved to the other side of the country. Life is never going to be the same after facing the pandemic.
