It actually took me awhile to learn that being tested with MS was not some sort of death sentence or condition that life was ending.
But it sure felt that way when I first heard the news.
And it took a little bit of time for me to realize that while life as I knew it has changed, it is certainly far from over. There are just so many treatments that are effective when it comes to managing and living with MS. And a single of the large surprises for me is that medical cannabis is among the most effective. The last thing I thought I’d be doing in my forties would be heading down to a legal weed store to get cannabis products. Sure, I smoked my even-handed share of marijuana when I was in my early 20’s. But that was a strange time and locale that I ended up moving on from as I got into my adult years. So simply going to the cannabis dispensary was a pretty serious trip. For starters, I had no clue that legal weed shops were such a retail shopping experience in a way. While I was there for medical cannabis, there were others who weren’t even there for that reason. But a single thing every one of us all had in common was the fact that every one of us were being assisted by expert staff. These kind, romantic people were so essential in helping me with medical marijuana. Not only were they all knowing about the cannabis products that were best for my condition, they helped me learn to use them on top of that. With medical marijuana, I have yet another tool at my disposal for helping me with my new normal.
