I’m sick of being on so many different medications.
After I fell ill with pneumonia a few years ago, I’ve had an uphill battle ever since. I developed a heart condition, an anxiety disorder, and asthma as a result of nearly dying from pneumonia. Once I eventually lost my job during my period of recovery, I developed depression as well. It was absolute insanity for my doctors as they tried to prescribe medication to treat all of the various medical problems. I might successfully address one issue while aggravating my other medical needs with the side effects from new medication. The doctors tried several different cocktails of prescription drugs to no avail. I struggled to function through this period of time because my biggest medication side effects were drowsiness and mental fog. At some point I found myself reading a psychology magazine while waiting in the lobby at one of my doctors’ offices. There were several articles about medical marijuana. I was fascinated by the research being done on this classic plant, especially the efficacy for treating physical and mental pain simultaneously. This led me down the path of pursuing a medical cannabis card. My physicians were supportive and were eager to see the results. I’m happy to say that I’m doing the best now that I have been since before my bout with pneumonia. I take advantage of the sales on edibles and other products at my local cannabis dispensary because they seem to work the best for me compared to other varieties. My second favorite way to consume cannabis is by vaporizing cannabis flower buds.
