My dad had Parkinson’s so I was sort of concerned that I would get it.
Sure enough, that is what has happened.
I was diagnosed at 62 with Parkinson’s disease. That was not an easy thing to hear and an even tougher thing to prepare to live with. Thankfully, I live in a state where medical marijuana is legal for those with my condition. Why medical cannabis is not legal to anyone with any sort of medical condition remains a mystery to me. All I know is that once I understood the medical marijuana benefits for my symptoms, I was all about gaining access to medical marijuana. For sure, there were medical marijuana regulations to deal with but they were fairly straightforward and I was able to deal with it. Once I started going to the legal weed store, I was amazed at how much the cannabis flower products helped my condition. The stiffness of my muscles has been so positively effected by the cannabis flower products I’ve been using. The staff at the legal weed store continues to help me dial in the specific cannabis products that improve my symptoms dramatically. It’s been such a great experience that I’ve started encouraging people with Parkinson’s disease to consider medical marijuana benefits. I’ve also volunteered to speak at local cannabis dispensary events about my experiences with medical cannabis and cannabis products. I just can’t fully express my gratitude that medical marijuana benefits my condition the way it does. So, I hope that getting the word out about medical marijuana benefits is my way of paying it forward.
